At Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre we have developed a set of protocols and procedures which enables our vets to be on site in the shortest amount of time possible. Whether your horse be young or old, big or small, Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre is dedicated to getting it back on it's feet with a minimum of stress.
24 Hour Emergency Services
Experience has shown that prompt diagnosis and early surgical intervention gives those cases with conditions amenable to surgical correction, the best chance for recovery. Intensive Care
The immediate post operative phase is an important stage for care and rehabilitation of the colic patient. Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre provides around-the-clock intensive care in our in house hospitalisation boxes for the greatest chance of a full recovery. Our dedicated veterinarians and equine veterinary nurses work tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcome for your horse.
Symptoms of Colic
- Pawing
- Restlessness
- Lying down
- Rolling
- Sweating
- Looking at flank
- Anxious expression
- Off food
