General Stud Service
Veterinary services are provided to farms throughout the region, both large and small, as needed for general breeding examinations. We routinely scan mares with portable ultrasound. The main on-farm requirement is to have a safe crush for mare examination. As our veterinarians have regular stud rounds during the breeding season it is often possible to schedule visits to coincide with these routine circuits.
Our veterinarians are on-call for all emergency work during the breeding season such as difficult foalings, sick foals, breeding injuries. Visiting stud reproductive services are backed by full laboratory support and hospitalisation when required.
