OPEN: Monday to Friday between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm with 24/7 emergency services.

Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre consists of two separate facilities, Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre on King George Avenue and the Conception Equine Breeding Centre (due for completion in 2010/11) on the New England Highway opposite the Australian Equine & Livestock Entertainment Centre (AELEC).

 

Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre

The Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre is located on King George V Avenue, 2klms west of the central business district, straight along Peel Street, the main street of Tamworth. The facilities comprise the following:

  

Main Barn includes : 

  1. Reception/Main offices 
  2. Operating Theatre
  3. Radiography
  4. Scrub Room
  5. SBS Laboratory/General Laboratory
  6. Intensive Care Hospital stalls
  7. Crush facilities

  

Outside Facilities :                                                                                                                              

  1. Serving Arena & Undercover Crush
  2. Stallion Barn
  3. Hay & Feed shed
  4. Wash Bay
  5. Range of Small and Large Paddocks
  6. Stallion Runs

The Medical Centre has the ability to provide full 24 hour services* for your horse in a clean, well equipped   and highly functional environment. New Facilities:

 Our new breeding centre is opposite the AELEC and is currently under construction. It is a project that Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre is undertaking in order to create a home for our newly created breeding division, Conception Equine, and further down the track will house both facilities. The breeding centre is being custom built to our exacting standards and requirements and will include a wide range of high quality infrastructure and equipment to further improve our  breeding services. The centre will include the following main features:

Phase One includes: 

  1. Stallion runs with individual stalls to meet export quarantine regulations, including export to the European Union.
  2. Stallion breeding barn with tease crush and phantom mount.
  3. Mare barn with dual crush facilities and holding stalls.
  4. Load out ramps.
  5. Day yards and holding yards.
  6. Foal safe paddocks.
  7. Temporary laboratory and office facility.
  8. Establishment of lucerne cultivation for permanent feed sourcing.

Phase Two includes:

  1. New central building will house the Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre and have reception, laboratory, semen storage, offices, operation theatre, clinical diagnostics, hospital/ intensive care stalls,indoor examination area, pharmacy and ancillary facilities.
  2. Hospital day yards and holding stalls.

Winter trading hours commence on the 1st MAY 2011. OPEN 9AM TO 5PM Monday to Friday

Summer trading hours commence on the 1st September 2011. OPEN 8AM TO 6PM Monday to Friday
