Our Staff
Dr Stuart Keller BVSC MACVSc
The senior veterinarian and founder of the practice, Stuart has been in practice for 26 years with varying periods in mixed rural practice and equine practice. Early practice life included a two year appointment in Tamworth before pursuing specialist training in equine surgery in North America. This was followed by entry into equine practice in the Hawkesbury district. Stuart has resided in Tamworth for the last 17 years with a large part of that time as a partner in Tamworth Veterinary Hospital. Stuart has particular interests in artificial breeding technologies including embryo transfer, and is developing a service for northern Australia for the freezing and distribution of stallion semen. Stuart currently holds the appointments as honorary veterinarian to the Australian Quarterhorse Association and to the National Cutting Horse Association.
Dr Victoria Marshall BVet Med(hons) MRCVS
Vicky comes to us from Yorkshire in Northern England, having graduated with honours from the Royal Veterinary College London Vicky gained wide experience with several leading equine practices in England. Vicky has a keen interest in all aspects of the practice, especially Equine Reproduction, Anaesthesiology and Foal Medicine.
Libby Keller
Libby is Stuart's wife of 22 years and carries responsibilities for the financial management of the practice. Whilst most of her work is behind the desk, she nevertheless has had a major input into design, décor, promotion and function of the Centre. Without her talents the practice would no doubt be a stark and sober workplace.
Kim Parkins
Kim has been Stuart’s secretary for the last ten years and has a detailed knowledge of the operation of an equine practice. Her efficiency allows for the complicated operation of a busy reproductive centre to appear simple and controlled. Kim is usually the one to handle a crisis whether it be lost semen boxes in transit or urgent requests for attention to an ailing horse. You can be assured your enquiries will be addressed courteously and promptly through our front desk. Kim's duties include the management of client accounts and contract arrangements for visiting mares.
