Stallion Station
Well known as the centre of the Quarterhorse industry in Australia, Tamworth continues to be the ideal location for stallions. With excellent freight services by road and air there are obvious advantages in standing stallions in Tamworth for the breeding season. TEVC has a stallion station service with stallions residing at the Centre farm or visiting on a daily "on demand" basis for collection and shipment of semen. We will train stallions for artificial breeding, evaluate reproductive performance, and perform semen analysis.
Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre has a strong reputation for its reproductive services. The Centre attracts a large number of visiting broodmares for artificial breeding programs. We are particularly well equipped for the collection and shipping of chilled semen and for the breeding of mares with frozen semen. As a Centre specializing in the collection and processing of frozen semen we are experienced in the breeding of mares with frozen semen. The centre is able to agist mares on its own property of 30 irrigated river flat acres with adjacent farms providing an extra 80 acres as required.
